It has always been our intention to bring leaders of government, civil society, business and academia together under one roof to look at constructive and tangible ways to improve and promote business integrity and trust in South Africa.
Following engagements with government, we have agreed to a proposal that suggested that we postpone the Business Integrity Summit, originally scheduled for 14 – 16 October 2019, to 2 – 3 April 2020 to allow all stakeholders and relevant partners to be part of the solution.
Our international partners have also advised that two other international forums on business ethics and anti-corruption take place during the same period and because they have already committed themselves to those events, they would support the rescheduling of the Summit as this would allow them to be part of it.
While this postponement is not desirable and would inevitably cause inconvenience to those who have already made arrangements to attend, we profusely apologise for such inconvenience but wish to reassure you that it is done with the best intentions in mind and we promise that when the Summit takes place in April next year, it would all be worth it.
